We combine strategy, design, and engineering to deliver scalable digital experiences across industries.We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer (Python) to join our IM team, work as Augmented resource for bKash. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django, working closely with frontend and platform teams to ship reliable, production-grade features. Key Responsibilities

01Develop and maintain backend services using Python, Django, and Django REST Framework

02Design and implement scalable, well-documented RESTful APIs with proper auth and permissions

03Design and evolve relational data models (MySQL/PostgreSQL), writing efficient queries and safe migrations

04Build background and scheduled processing using Celery and Redis for jobs, reports, and data tasks

05Collaborate with frontend and product teams to ensure smooth API integration and data flow

06Monitor and optimize backend performance; debug and resolve production issues

07Support integrations with third-party services and internal tools

08Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and Docker-based deployment workflows

09Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code following best practices

Required Skills & Experience

—Strong hands-on experience with Python and Django (or a similar backend framework)

—Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs

—Solid knowledge of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL): schema design, migrations, query optimization

—Experience with background job processing (Celery or similar) and Redis

—Familiarity with Git and version control workflows

—Experience with Docker and containerized deployments

—Comfortable working in a live production environment with real users

Preferred Skills

—Experience with microservices architecture

—Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

—Understanding of software design patterns and system architecture

—Familiarity with observability tooling (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)

—Experience with message queues

Nice-to-Have Skills

—Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

—Exposure to Kubernetes or managed container environments

—Experience building reporting or analytics features on transactional data
